"And now I will show you The Most Excellent Way" . . . LOVE!

"The Most Excellent Way" began in early 1986 as a small prayer group desiring to minister to alcoholics, drug addicts, and their families. Today, regularly scheduled Support Meetings continue to spread across America.

"The Most Excellent Way" is a Christian alternative to chemical dependency.

"The Most Excellent Way"

We utilize scriptural principles to overcome the guilt, hopelessness, fear, and shame associated with addictive behavior.

  • To be reconciled to God the Father through belief in Jesus Christ
  • To gain a better understanding of the destructive nature of addiction
  • Teaches us how to defeat the enemy and rely on Jesus

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, . . . who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God."  (II Corinthians 1:3-4 NIV)

"The Most Excellent Way -- Friends and Family

Through our friends and family, we may know someone who is enslaved to drugs and alcohol. Addiction no only affects the addict but it also affects friends and family.

  • Help spouses, parents, and adult children to stop trying to control, fix and blame themselves and their loved ones for their addiction

  • Learn to become God dependent -- The process of letting go and letting God take over

  • Learn how to restore themselves to a life of peach, joy, and righteousness through Jesus Christ

Jesus said: "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. All men will know that you are My disciples if you love one another."  (John 13:34-35 NIV)

"Ten Attitudes of Victorious Living"

  • Humility - I admit I am powerless over the affects of drugs and alcohol, and self-centered behavior -- my life is unmanageable.

  • Repentant - I believe Jesus Christ can and will create in me a new way of life.

  • Submissive - I give my will and my life to Jesus Christ.

  • Honesty - I honestly examine myself in the light of God's Word.

  • Merciful - I humbly ask God's forgiveness for my sinful past. I am able to forgive those who have hurt me.

  • Obedient - I desire to live under the guidance of God's Holy Spirit - day by day.

  • Reconciliation - I ask forgiveness from all those I have hurt or dealt with unfairly.

  • Faith - I trust in the power of Jesus Christ when I face hardship and trials.

  • Perseverance - I stand firm in my faith that Jesus is in control of all things.
